Avenir Consultancy, Inc. (“Avenir”, “we”, “us”) is a corporation registered in the Philippines that provides bookkeeping, accounting, tax, and admin and legal support to businesses in the United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us:
- Contact form: your name, email, and optionally your phone number, a subject and your message.
- Discovery call booking: your name, work email, company, role, the topics you need help with, your accounting software, the state of your books, the time you choose, and your time zone (so we can show times and send confirmations in your local time).
- Job applications: your name, email, optionally your phone number and a short note, the role you apply for, and your resume if you upload one.
We also keep a short-lived, one-way hashed version of your IP address for up to a day to stop spam and abuse of our forms. We cannot turn the hash back into your IP address, and we do not use it for anything else.
How we use it
- To reply to your message, prepare for and hold your discovery call, and send you the confirmation.
- To review your job application and contact you about it.
- To protect our forms from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Resumes and application data
Resumes are encrypted as soon as they are uploaded, stored under a random file name, and can only be opened by our administrators while signed in. Deleting an application permanently deletes its resume.
Cookies and third parties
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you sign in to manage the site, WordPress sets the cookies needed for that.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Some images are served from Unsplash (privacy policy). Emails about your enquiry are sent through our email provider.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and bookings for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage our relationship, and for up to three years afterwards for our records. We keep job applications for up to one year so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent at any time. If you are in the United States, you may also have rights under your state’s privacy laws. To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We will reply within one business day to acknowledge your request.
If you believe we have mishandled your information, you can complain to the Philippine National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Security
We protect the information you send us with encrypted connections, access limited to authorised staff, two-level review of client work, and protections against spam and abuse on every form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
